As the leading provider of maritime cargo and load handling solutions, MacGregor is committed to providing its share for the decarbonisation of the industry pursuing science-based measures to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C.

MacGregor is offering a portfolio of sustainable products and services that help customers enhance their environmental performance and optimize safety and efficiency of cargo flows and port turn-around times.

ESG Reporting

MacGregor as a standalone company conducted its very first Double Materiality Assessment during 2025 and is publishing its voluntary Sustainability Statement in alignment with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. 

MacGregor, according to the latest regulatory developments, will be required to publish its first mandatory Sustainability Statement for the financial year 2027.

Human Rights

MacGregor is committed to respecting human rights within its operations and value chain, including complying with national and international laws and regulations. We recognise that MacGregor’s business may be linked to an elevated risk of modern slavery in the value chain, especially in the supply chain, and we are committed to actively mitigating such risks and addressing any potential incidents of this nature to the best of our ability. Freedom from slavery is a basic human right and we set clear expectations to our employees and suppliers for respecting human rights.

According to the latest regulatory developments, MacGregor is not in the scope of the Corporate Sustainable Due Diligence Directive anymore. Being part of the value chain of companies in the scope, MacGregor is committed to the same goals, aiming to provide stakeholders in the scope with all necessary data and information.

MacGregor is issuing annual statements according to the UK Modern Slavery Act (UK) and the Norwegian Transparency Act.

Responsible Sourcing

MacGregor is committed to responsible sourcing. The company systematically manages its responsible sourcing programme across all business divisions. 

Key policies and processes supporting this programme include MacGregor's Business Partner Code of Conduct, supplier approval and contract terms, supplier engagement and audits, and the SpeakUp line (available to both internal and external stakeholders). 

The responsible sourcing programme is dedicated to identifying and mitigating sustainability risks within the supply chain. The programme's four core priority areas are: supply chain decarbonisation, reduction of hazardous substances, responsible sourcing of critical minerals, sustainability due diligence, and continuous improvement.
