Key benefits

Whether you operate a floating crane barge for coastal transloading or a large transhipper for open-sea bulk transfer, a fully integrated transloading system puts you in control of throughput, energy costs, and environmental performance.

  • Higher turnover capacity through the fully electric transloading crane, which delivers higher throughput via faster operating speeds.
  • Up to 50% lower energy and fuel consumption enabled by electric drive technology and reduced power demand during standby, translating directly into lower operating costs.
  • Minimised oil leakage risk with the fully electric crane, protecting the marine environment and eliminating oil-related maintenance.
  • One partner for the complete system, including cranes, hoppers, conveyors, and discharge booms, all designed, supplied, and supported as a single integrated package.
  • Proven reliability for continuous operations built on more than 50 years of heavy-duty crane design for the most demanding transloading profiles.

Together, these advantages help you maximise throughput while reducing the total cost of ownership across the entire system lifecycle.

Key features

Every transloading system is custom-engineered around your operational profile, combining proven crane technology with advanced hopper, conveyor and boom designs to form a seamless cargo-handling chain.

  • Hydraulic and fully electric transloading crane options covering safe working loads from 25 to 50 tonnes SWL, so you can choose the drive technology that best fits your operational and sustainability targets.
  • Weather-protected machinery with all equipment housed inside the crane housing, reducing wear and extending service life in harsh marine environments.
  • Eccenter solution for extended outreach, adding 9-15 metres extra reach to the crane when your operation demands it.
  • GravityVibe™ technology that significantly reduces weight while handling a wider range of difficult materials and improving overall transloading performance.
  • Receiving hoppers with capacities up to 6,000 t/h sized and configured to match your vessel and cargo requirements.
  • Discharge booms from 20 to 80 metres available in fixed, telescoping configurations to suit your specific discharge setup.
  • Travelling gantry to minimise downtime of repositioning vessels and increase output.

These features work together to form a single, optimised cargo-handling chain that keeps your transloading operations running efficiently around the clock.

  • Lifecycle Support

You benefit from global service including regional and remote support. Tailored service agreements and genuine spare parts extend equipment life and reduce ownership costs, ensuring every transloading system performs safely and efficiently worldwide.

  • Technical Features

    Transloading cranes

    • Drive types: Hydraulic and fully electric
    • Safe working load (SWL): 25 to 50 tonnes in grab operation.
    • Design duty: 4,000 to 5,000 operating hours per year.
    • Outreach extension: Eccenter solution adds 9-15 m of extra reach.
    • Fully electric energy savings: up to 50% lower energy and fuel consumption compared to hydraulic equivalents.
    • Fully electric throughput: Higher turnover capacity through increased speeds.
    • Noise: Significantly reduced noise levels with the electric transloading crane.

    Hoppers and Cargo Hold Solutions

    • Capacity of the complete system: up to 6,000 t/h or more, depending on configuration.
    • GravityVibe™ enabling wider variety of bulk materials, maintaining smooth cargo flow for materials with high internal friction
    • GravityVibe™ for Cargo Hold Solutions: Higher utilisation for cargo hold, simplified cargo flow, easier maintenance, lower cost per voyage, and greater flexibility in charter operations
    • GravityVibe™ for Cargo Hoppers: Reduces hopper weight and height while maintaining or increasing the hit area, ensuring full discharge and complete emptying of the hopper

    Conveyors and discharge booms

    • Boom length: 20 to 80 metres.
    • Boom types: fixed, telescoping, and travelling gantry.
    • Construction: hot-dip galvanised, built for marine environments.

  • Ship Types

The transloading system is designed for three main vessel configurations:

    • Floating Crane Barges (FCB) – typically fitted with one or two transloading cranes on a barge.
    • Floating Crane Terminals (FCT) – one or two cranes combined with receiving hoppers, conveyors and discharge booms at a fixed transloading point.
    • Transhippers  – equipped with two or more transloading cranes plus full self-unloading equipment, with holds that can also serve as cargo storage during transport.

Each system is tailored to vessel size, operational profile and cargo requirements.

  • Complementary Solutions

A transloading system can be combined with additional onboard equipment for a complete vessel package:

    • Hatch covers – foldable or side-opening designs, including MacRack technology.
    • Deck machinery – a wide range of equipment suited to your vessel type.
    • Mooring winches – available in various capacities for safe and efficient mooring.

Having all systems from a single supplier simplifies project coordination, reduces interface risks, and provides a single point of contact for lifetime support.
