Hello, I’m Patrycja, and my journey at MacGregor started in 2021 in purchasing, where I began by learning the fundamentals - understanding processes, managing orders, and getting to know the maritime industry from the ground up. Over time, I didn’t just want to know what was happening, but why it was happening. I became genuinely curious about how things worked and how different elements of the business connected with each other.
Thanks to the trust and support of my managers, I had the opportunity to get involved in various projects within purchasing, but gradually they expanded into cross-functional initiatives, allowing me to work closely with other departments and gain a better understanding of our company processes.
As my involvement grew, I started contributing to implementations and key projects, which gave me a strong sense of purpose and motivation. I began actively exploring new paths - talking to people, learning about other roles, and supporting different teams whenever possible. Eventually, my engagement and willingness to grow was noticed, and I was asked if I would like to take on more responsibility. My answer was an enthusiastic YES. It felt like a natural next step and another opportunity to develop.
Today, working in sourcing, I truly feel that this is where I belong. I can clearly see the impact of my work - both individually and as part of a team - and how it contributes to the MacGregor’s success. Sourcing challenges me, keeps me learning, and gives me a real sense of purpose. While there is still a lot ahead of me to learn, I see this as a positive and motivating journey. Looking at how far I’ve come and how much more I can achieve, I can confidently say that this is what I want to do and these are the people I want to grow with.
