Moro! I am John, and I stepped into a new role at MacGregor this year. My journey with the company began in 2023, following over a decade of a career at Kalmar and a short tenure at Cargotec Corporation IM.
I first started to lead our Aras PLM platform. I didn’t have prior experience with Aras technology, so I was thrown into the action immediately to learn all aspects. In the past few years I have learned greatly what software development is, what is underlying infra, how to set application governance, manage resource planning, improve application support for and chip in to Digital & IT deployment projects.
This year we launched a new organization in Digital & IT and our small team includes PLM professionals, Document Management solution and Engineering application professionals who look after critical applications to be running smoothly and giving process and technical support for our end users in various issues. Our work is a mix of routine progress collaborations but also fast paced situations where quick fact-based decisions need to be made.
I have always had a passion to improve, and that is my value advice to be curious for colleagues or anybody interested in working with MacGregor. I am proud to be part of such talented global teams and excited for the future.
